Zodiac Energy’s African Horizon: A $3.29M Solar Win

Zodiac Energy Limited has secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) from an international client in Zambia for a turnkey solar power project in Lusaka.

The project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a ground-mounted solar PV plant with a capacity of 6 MWp DC and 5 MW AC. It will also feature a 1 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), aimed at improving energy reliability and efficiency.

In addition to core engineering work, the contract covers logistics such as packing, transportation with transit insurance, and delivery at site on a DAP (Delivery at Place) basis.

The total order value is estimated at approximately $3.29 million (around ₹30.85 crore), based on prevailing exchange rates at the time of disclosure.

The company noted that the project is expected to strengthen its international footprint in the renewable energy sector while contributing to its revenue over the execution period.
